Standing all day at a workstation, shop counter or packing line can be extremely tiring and uncomfortable. Heronair, from Plastic Extruders Limited, can contribute where the comfort and welfare of employees is important due to prolonged standing, or where production processes involve the likelihood of some water and spillages on the floor.
Extra thick and cushioning, Heronair effectively self-drains away liquid allowing the matting to dry quickly and ensuring that people are not left to stand in puddles or on a damp hard floor surface. It is made from extremely hardwearing, flexible PVC with a tubular top surface and underbars. This hollow tube construction allows air to compress within the tubes giving maximum cushioned comfort underfoot.
The insulating and fatigue-reducing underfoot properties of Heronair can also have beneficial effects on employee related productivity, whilst the extra cushioning can reduce the likelihood of breakages and damage if components or items are accidentally dropped.

Winchester Cathedral is the spectacular heritage building built in the Romanesque style and in the heart of King Alfred's Wessex. The crypt under the Ladies' Chapel provides an insight into the cathedral's history. Sadly, due to high water table, the area is prone to flooding so tours have had to be limited.

The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has issued statistics for 2008 which show that only 13% of employees believe that organisations are fully effective at controlling the slip and trip risk. Although the number of over 3 day accidents has steadily fallen, the annual number of major injuries remains essentially flat at 11,000.
